have you seen the movie 'powder'? for the peep type you mentioned...I wish one had the capability to download even a fraction of what it is to really strive - and to achieve the goal that one lives (rather than the all to easy existing/coasting/waiting/expecting) attitude that some slime off. Gila...you have worked damn hard - within yourself and with others - never EVER struggle with guilt of being surrounded by gifts (material and otherwise) that you helped create and exist. to be blunt...you rawk mah fwend

Anytime anyone says you have "everything", just look 'em right in the eyes and say: "Do YOU see any monkeys in theis home? No? Then shut up." That'll learn 'em..or at least confuse 'em...

Envy has nothing to do with you, and everything to do with the person who feels it. It's easy to lust after the result without considering what went into getting that result. I used to have the same feeling when I was landing high-paying jobs, while people I knew during my early 20s were struggling to get scraping-by work... then I remembered how many fun nights I had missed back then, because they were partying while I was studying, or working at one of my jobs to pay for my university degree. We all make choices. Don't feel guilty about making choices that are right for you, or for enjoying the results of those choices (and yeah, hard work is a choice). Also, I agree with Troll. Until you have a monkey around the house, you don't have "everything"! (and no, Dave doesn't count as a monkey - at least in this context :P)

Hard work certainly is a choice. And learning how NOT to work is a bad thing. I'm incredibly good at learning that particular task and struggling to get by probably isn't fun, although I wouldn't know because the worst thing that happens is I'll get hit by one overdraft before the next payday, at least presently. Don't be guilty for having material stuff. It really isn't that big a deal, one way or another. The big deal is when you stop writing that book you wanted to, or get distracted from something you're really passionate about. Watch out for that sort of shit. Cool? Cool. Later, ms. Monstre.

Some people don't seem to learn that when you follow your dreams and your passion, and work at it, whatever it may be, then riches flows from that. It may not always be money, or status, but invariably those people will be rich within themselves and *that* is what usually brings the rest. Those that seek riches directly (i.e. money), often will not get it, because they're striving for the wrong goal. Attitude is everything. Dan
