Today I learned, that no matter how thrilling it is when the chair of the board of directors offers you his chair, laughing, I still by far prefer meetings with propellerheads who say things like

"do you want me to tell you exactly what's going on right now? This. And this. And this. What do you want me to fix first?".

This new hat of mine at the office is an honour larger than I should be able to shoulder for years from now, but like Steven at Concordia, my mentors here are...

...uberhuman.

And one of those new mentors, the one that came in the same box as this new hat (the one with the fancy title), has decided to start inviting me to everything.

On the one hand, I'm sure this is a test to see if I go crazy after a weekfull of 8-hour meetings and beat the CEO about the head with a rubberized chicken, and I assure you that I'm quite close to that verge.

On the other hand, I'm being briefed on the budget, asked my opinion on the strangest shit and it's scaring me at the same time as filling my fat ass with more adrenaline than any human should be able to float on at once.

Today I had four meetings, a management team one (!!!), a BOARD one, a status meeting for a CLIENT that they suddenly decided the want my advice on from here on in, and a propellerhead one where we talked about the yellow brick road at the bunker we use to house our data.

I just wanted to say, in this haze of WHAT'S HAPPENING TO ME?!?!?

that I really like propellerheads.

They speak human, rather than politician.

And I still like humans, sometimes.
