Now there's a girl that makes me realize that I take myself far too fucking seriously.
She was a friend of mine when I was living in Lyon. She was studying Mechanical Engineering and I was studying Comp Sci, and she was pulling straight A's...
...and more importantly both Guillaume and I were desperately in love with her.
She's beautiful. And wonderful. And about as sweet as it gets -- I used to get up way too fucking early to follow her ass-length hair down the campus to feed our breakfasts to the stray cats.
After that, she'd go to the gym to train before class.
Not cuz she was obsessed with herself or anything, but because...
In her spare time she was European champion of some sort of sailboating. I can't remember the type of boat but I remember crying when she left campus early (did all her exams in one weekend) to compete in Australia...
And I realized that I'd never see her again.
She just e-mailed me to wish me a Happy New Year.
It's kismet again, just as Maria mentions that she wants to head to France instead of New Orleans... Friends now scattered and all graduated around the country have begun to write me.
And they remember me.
First Guillaume, now Marie-Nat... And maybe they've got a few forwarding addresses for the rest of the crew.
